Pujahca

This band first began in the year 2008 under the name Trifásico 380 and later became Pujahca in 2011. The latter is a combination of different words: “Puja” is a term used in Puerto Rico to express a stimulant, an invitacion, an incentive; “Jah” is an abbreviation of Jehovah; and the last part “acá” (meaning here in Spanish) symbolizes a present location.

Pujahca stands out because of its’ multiculturalism featured in the different band members. On main vocals and bass: Hiram Maldonado (Puerto Rico); Main Guitar: Joel Ramirez Gamarra (Argentina); Keyboard: Pyry Ihonen (Finland); Drums Gabriel Gonzales (Argentina) and on the Acoustic Guitar: Nicolás Nakayama (Argentina).

This cultural richness can be easily appreciated by the musical composition which fuses elements of Rock, Hip Hop, Reggae, Funk, Reggaeton and much more,

Based in Buenos Aires, Pujahca and played numerous venues in Downtown and Greater Buenos Aires, as well as in other cities like Jujuy, Corrientes, Santa Fe, Cordoba, Mar del Plata and Chaco. Internationally, they has also performed in Chile and Puerto Rico.

Pujahca intends to reach this area of society by playing in pubs, bars, lounges and events.
