The Luna siblings’ big trip

“On a night when the full moon hung high above the outskirts of Eclipse City, three siblings undoubtedly came up with something they could all agree on for once (an idea that is). So when the night wind whisked through, they were carried away to a new dawn. Come along and find out what goes down in this curious world. Let’s go to the wonderful upside-down kingdom!”

“El Viaje de los Hermanos Lunas (The Luna siblings’ big trip)” is a musical production for the whole family filled with lots of colors, laughs, sensation and warm feelings.

“Artistas en su Maxima Expresion (Artists in their maximum expression)” or “AME” is part of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Argentina. This international arts company is the creator of this musical play which presents values and principles in a society so lacking of such things.  They invite the audience to join this “Upside-down Kingdom” and to encounter “The King of Lights” in order to find difference and change.

We have had the opportunity to perform several seasons in the city of Buenos Aires. Our first season took place in 2008 in “Bahuen” Theater during winter school vacation. The second season was in 2010 in “Del Centro” Theater and our third season in the Argentina Capital city was in 2012 in “Beckett” Theater.

The latest season was in summer of 2014 which took place in “5 Sentidos” Theater located on one of the main avenues of Mar del Plata.

For the first time in April of 2014, the AME art company participated in “Los Premios Hugo (The Hugo Awards)” with a selection from “El Viaje de Los Hermanos Luna”. “Los Premios Hugo” for Musical Theater are awards handed out annually by the Civil Association of the “Premios Hugo” in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The awards show contains the name Hugo in honor of the late master Hugo Midón, a prestigious director and creator of the musical genre. The purpose of distinguishing the best through the awards extends to the excellence in education.

We offer the option of performing this musical in different places since it has a message full of values and principles for adolescents and is very enjoyable for children.
